Job summary

Merck Group is seeking a strategic Head of R2R Global Accounting Services and ABP to lead a large hub of finance professionals. You will drive month-end closing, GL, product costing and management accounting, while managing and developing a high-performance team across borders.

Successfully guiding recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management and compliance with labor laws will be crucial to delivering efficient services and enabling business success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree preferred.
• CPA certification is required.
• 8+ years in Finance Operations focusing on Month End Closing, General Ledger, Product Costing and Management Accounting.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• 5+ years in Global Business Services or Shared Services.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Employee relations and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Identify growth opportunities and develop training programs; mentorship for skill enhancement.
• Promote DEI, wellness, and work-life balance; communicate updates and engage workforce.
• Drive strategy, governance, performance, and process improvements in the hub.
