Emapta Philippines is seeking an AI Engineer to design scalable AI solutions using Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI, Microsoft Fabric, and Copilot Studio. You will connect enterprise data with practical AI innovations and gain global exposure while growing within Emapta's top 1% talent.

The role is full-time with Day Shift (Brisbane Time) and a permanent WFH setup, weekends off, and a competitive salary package.

The Qualifications We Seek

Skills & Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in AI engineering, machine learning, intelligent automation, or enterprise data solution development and deployment
• Demonstrated experience in the development and deployment of AI, machine learning, automation, or data solutions within complex enterprise environments
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, REST APIs, source control, and modern software development practices
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft data and AI ecosystem, with practical expertise across relevant technologies
• Experience in enterprise data and application integration, with knowledge of identity management, security, privacy, and operational controls
• Experience in production solution support, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and continuous improvement
• Experience in outsourced or distributed team environments, with the ability to meet client priorities, agreed deliverables, acceptance criteria, and support requirements

Key Competencies & Technical Skills

• Hands-on proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI services, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Copilot Studio
• Strong understanding of generative AI, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, model evaluation, and prompt engineering
• Knowledge of data engineering, lakehouse and warehouse architectures, semantic models, unstructured data processing, and data quality principles
• Ability to design secure, reliable, and maintainable AI solutions that transition from proof of concept to supported production environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with excellent attention to solution quality and technical accuracy
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
• Commitment to responsible AI practices, continuous professional development, and measurable business value

Desirable Certifications & Experience

• Relevant Microsoft certifications in Azure AI, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Azure Development, or Security
• Experience with Dataverse, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, model evaluation, observability, or FinOps practices
• Experience in the delivery of AI agents, machine learning models, intelligent workflows, or AI-enabled applications within regulated enterprise environments

Your Daily Tasks

AI Solution Engineering

• Translate approved AI use cases into solution designs, effort estimates, and delivery plans with clearly defined deliverables, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
• Escalate proposed scope changes for review and approval.
• Build and configure generative AI, machine learning, intelligent agent, and automation solutions through approved Microsoft technologies.
• Develop prompts, retrieval patterns, orchestration logic, APIs, connectors, and reusable components to support reliable enterprise AI applications.
• Use client-approved repositories, code review procedures, test processes, and release workflows.
• Maintain source code, configurations, and technical documentation within client-controlled environments for review and acceptance.

Integration & Data Engineering

• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, Dataverse, and governed data products through secure and maintainable architectures.
• Prepare structured and unstructured data for AI workloads through transformation, data segmentation, metadata enrichment, indexing, and quality validation.
• Apply approved identity management, least-privilege access, secrets management, and remote-access controls.
• Use authorized environments and data locations, prevent unauthorized local copies or data transfers, and escalat exceptions.
• Design reusable and interoperable solutions that minimize duplication across AI applications and enterprise data domains.

Microsoft AI & Data Platform

• Engineer AI solutions through Microsoft Foundry and relevant Azure AI services for model access, evaluation, safety controls, and lifecycle management.
• Use Microsoft Fabric to support governed data ingestion, data engineering, lakehouse and warehouse architectures, semantic models, analytics, and AI-ready data products.
• Develop business applications, automated workflows, and enterprise integrations through Power Apps, Power Automate, and approved Power Platform connectors.
• Build and extend copilots and AI agents through Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio, with access to approved enterprise data and business actions.

Responsible AI, Security & Governance

• Implement responsible AI principles, such as human oversight, transparency, content safety, privacy, data protection, and appropriate use controls.
• Complete technical assessments, documentation, and evidence requirements for architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, and AI governance reviews.
• Use approved AI models, technical environments, connectors, and data sources, and escalat exceptions through established governance procedures.
• Monitor AI solution behavior and support the resolution of quality, safety, security, privacy, and compliance issues.

Testing, Deployment & Operations

• Execute functional, integration, performance, and security tests to verify AI solution reliability and compliance.
• Document test evidence, resolve defects, and support client-led user acceptance tests (UAT) and release approvals.
• Establish automated deployment and environment promotion processes appropriate for Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and Power Platform solutions.
• Implement system monitoring, operational logs, model evaluation, cost management, and production support procedures.
• Investigate incidents, technical defects, and AI model or agent issues within agreed support hours and service targets.
• Escalate incidents promptly through approved client and service provider channels and implement sustainable corrective solutions.

Collaboration & Enablement

• Collaborate remotely with Australian product owners, delivery leads, engineers, analysts, architects, security teams, and business specialists.
• Maintain agreed overlap with Australian business hours to support project coordination and technical collaboration.
• Maintain project delivery records and provide regular progress, effort, and forecast updates.
• Identify and escalat blockers, dependencies, and project risks at an early stage.
• Explain technical options clearly and demonstrate completed AI solutions to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks to support service continuity, planned absences, and provider transitions.
• Transfer technical knowledge to client teams or replacement resources to ensure operational readiness.
• Contribute reusable AI patterns, technical standards, and lessons learned to the enterprise AI engineering practice.
