About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Officer to manage the full spectrum of accounting and administrative functions for two Australian companies.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys end-to-end accounting work, thrives in a small‑business environment, and has hands‑on experience using MYOB.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment scheduling.
• Prepare and send client invoices; follow up on overdue accounts and maintain accurate billing records.
• Process weekly/fortnightly payroll for employees and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with Australian standards (PAYG, superannuation, leave).
• Perform daily/weekly bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and assist with cash flow and month‑end reporting.
• Liaise with external accountants for end‑of‑month and year‑end requirements.
• Provide administrative and financial support to Directors as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Proficient in MYOB (AccountsRight or Business) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Reliable, organised, and capable of working independently.
