We are seeking an AU Senior Financial Accountant to join one of our clients. In this role, you will provide financial control and administrative support to the CFO, ensuring effective, efficient, and accurate financial and operational processes across the business. You will be responsible for financial reporting, tax compliance, cash flow management, debtor monitoring, payroll support, and maintaining the integrity of financial records and systems. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership while contributing to process improvements and overall financial performance.
Manage month-end and year-end processes, including the preparation and processing of accounting entries.
Prepare monthly reconciliations, supporting schedules, and analyses of profit and loss and balance sheet accounts.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial analysis and reporting packs.
Prepare year-end working files and consolidated financial statements.
Prepare year-end tax calculations and draft income tax returns.
Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), annual tax returns, and related analyses.
Assist with annual budget preparation, performance tracking, and cost driver analysis.
Assist in preparing and monitoring cash flow projections.
Support Directors, Finance Team members, and staff with debtor management and cash collection activities.
Provide support for payroll review and processing activities, including payroll, superannuation, and related payments.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in corporate accounting, internal accounting, internal audit, finance, or a related role.
Proven experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
Experience preparing financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Experience preparing BAS, IAS, tax calculations, and annual tax returns.
Experience in cash flow forecasting, debtor management, and cash collection activities.
Proficiency in MYOB or similar accounting software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
