Work For Prosper seeks an experienced General Accountant to manage AP/AR, reconcile ledgers, and prepare monthly statements for the Prosper entity. The role emphasizes commission payouts for agents under a 100% split model with a $5,000 cap, plus post-cap fees, audits, and nested income payouts from referrals.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accountancy or Finance, CPA is a plus, and proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA status or relevant certification is a distinct advantage.
• Experience in accounting with preference for US real estate brokerages, escrow handling, or commission-heavy sales structures.
• Advanced proficiency in cloud accounting software (QuickBooks Online or Xero).
• Comfortable managing complex tier-based payout structures, tracking agent caps, and automated monthly disbursement tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with availability for a steady day shift.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process agent commission payouts under a 100% split model; enforce the $5,000 cap by monitoring production metrics.
• Post-cap, audit and collect per-transaction fees for risk insurance/broker compliance reviews; track and invoice annual technology fees.
• Audit and calculate monthly multi-stream passive income payouts to agents (Property Management Referrals; Virtual Assistant Referrals).
• Track recruitment milestones and release recruitment bonuses on first sale and on second sale.
• Maintain general ledgers, perform bank and credit card reconciliations for the agent entity, and generate monthly financial statements.

Job description

• At least 2 years of General Accounting experience (AP, AR, or Bookkeeping)
• Manage and process agent commission payouts under a 100% split model; monitor agent production metrics to accurately enforce the $5,000 commission cap.
• Post-cap, audit and collect per-transaction fee for risk insurance/broker compliance reviews. Track and invoice the annual technology fee (RingCentral, Google, Gemini AI).
• Audit and calculate monthly multi-stream passive income payouts to agents, including:
  • Property Management Referrals
  • Virtual Assistant Referrals
• Track internal agent-to-agent recruitment milestones, releasing the recruitment bonus on the new hire's first sale and on their second sale.
• Maintain general ledgers, perform routine bank and credit card reconciliations for the agent entity, and generate clean monthly financial statements for corporate review.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field (CPA status or relevant certification is a distinct advantage).
• Proven professional experience in accounting, with a strong preference for backgrounds in US real estate brokerages, escrow handling, or commission-heavy sales structures.
• Advanced proficiency in cloud accounting software platforms (QuickBooks Online or Xero).
• Comfortable managing complex tier-based payout structures, tracking individual agent caps, and setting up automated monthly disbursement tracking.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with full availability to maintain a steady day shift.
