Job summary

Easyeats Food Products Trading Co. is seeking an Accounting Associate (AR) to join the Accounting team on a full-time basis. Based in Umapad, Mandaue City, Cebu, you will manage customer accounts, ensure timely collections, and maintain accurate financial records supporting the company’s financial health.

Key responsibilities include AR processing, collections, statements, reconcilations, and collaboration with sales and finance to ensure precise record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Secondary or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for large datasets.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
• Knowledge of GAAP or IFRS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process and record accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Prepare and send customer statements and collection notices.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts and billing.

About the role

Easyeats Food Products Trading Co. is seeking an Accounting Associate (AR) to join our Accounting team on a full-time basis. Based in Umapad, Mandaue City, Cebu, this role is fundamental to our financial operations and plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of our accounts receivable processes. As an Accounting Associate (AR), you will be responsible for managing and monitoring customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records that support the overall financial health of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Processing and recording accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner

• Monitoring customer accounts and following up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payment

• Preparing and sending customer statements and collection notices

• Investigating and resolving discrepancies in customer accounts and billing issues

• Maintaining detailed records of all accounts receivable activities and transactions

• Reconciling customer accounts and preparing aged receivables reports

• Assisting in credit control activities, including credit assessments and payment terms negotiations

• Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts receivable

• Communicating with customers regarding payment schedules, discounts, and account inquiries

• Collaborating with sales and finance teams to ensure accurate and consistent record-keeping

What we're looking for

• A secondary or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proven experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or a similar accounting role

• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage large datasets

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping

• Sound understanding of accounts receivable procedures, credit policies, and collection practices

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective customer interactions

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is advantageous

• Experience in the food products or trading industry would be beneficial
