Job summary

San Miguel Global Power is seeking an Account Officer in the Philippines to introduce and offer power supply to contestable customers, RES, and directly connected customers. You will identify leads, educate prospects through calls, meetings, and initial presentations, and provide quality support to ensure smooth transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, Marketing or MBA.
• At least 1 year of work experience, preferably in the Electric Power Industry.
• Familiarity with EPIRA, WESM, ERC rules, and sales & marketing.

Responsibilities

• Introduce and offer power supply to Contestable Customers, other RES and Directly Connected Customers by identifying leads and educating prospects via calls, meetings and initial presentations.
• Assist in closing contracts under the guidance of the Sales Supervisor; perform daily sales tasks with supervision including switch requirement preparation and supply-related simulations.
• Develop a strong understanding of industry principles, processes, and procedures to navigate the market with initiative and supervisor guidance.
• Promote SMGP values and brand management in all engagements, interactions with external stakeholders, and CSR participation.

Job description

Thev Account Officer is responsible for introducing and offering power supply to Contestable Customers, other RES (Retail Electricity Suppliers) and Directly Connected Customers by identifying leads, educating prospects on the industry through calls, meetings, and initial presentations, and providing quality customer support to ensure smooth transactions and excellent service delivery. The roles include assisting in closing contracts under the full guidance of the Sales Supervisor, as well as performing daily sales tasks with some supervision including switch requirement preparation and various supply-related simulations. The Account Officer is expected to develop a strong understanding of industry principles, processes, and procedure to effectively navigate the competitive electricity market through their own initiative and the guidance of the sales supervisor. As a frontline representative of the business, the Account Officer will also promote SMGP values and brand management in all company engagements, interactions with external stakeholders, and participation in CSR projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical), business, and/or marketing or Business Administration.
• At least 1 year of work experience, preferrably in the Electric Power Industry. Familiarity with the Electric Power Industry Reform Act (EPIRA), the Philippine Grid and Distribution Code, the WESM and ERC rules, sales and Marketing
• Excellent Public Speaking skills, presentation skills, negotiation skills, and interpersonal skills.
