Job summary

Acwa is seeking a Store Keeper in our Technical Support department. The role involves shipping/receiving, stocking, inventory maintenance, and distribution of supplies and equipment.

The candidate may lead other staff in the area and will ensure accurate stock records and compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities include processing orders, inspecting materials, posting stock movements, and coordinating with the purchase department on discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years in the same function is required.
• 6 years of experience preferred.
• Good communication in English is essential.
• ISO9001/14001/OHSAS 18001 awareness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain district inventory for Plant supplies including ordering, receiving and allocating.
• Post daily incoming and outgoing plant stock and reconcile with purchase orders.
• Prepare annual requisitions, orders, and reports.
• Inspect incoming materials and document discrepancies with purchase orders.
• Handle and document storage and transportation of hazardous materials.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and stores areas.
• Inform relevant personnel about material arrivals and arrange inspections.

Job Title - Store Keeper

Job location(Department/Plant) - Technical Support

Reporting to - Store Supervisor

Job Summary

Under direction, performs a variety of shipping/receiving, stocking activities; stores and distributes supplies and equipment; maintains inventory and stock records; may serve as a lead worker to other classified staff in the area; and perform related work as required.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintains district inventory for Plant supplies which includes ordering, receiving and allocating.
• Prepare and type annual requisitions, orders, reports, correspondence.
• Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received.
• Post daily incoming and outgoing plant stock.
• Reports canceled and damaged items to the purchase department as appropriate.
• Handles and documents storage and transportation of hazardous materials.
• Identification, segregation and preservation of materials stored
• Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Segregation of waste for proper disposal
• Inform relevant personnel about the arrival of material and to arrange for inspection
• Answers questions regarding procedures and resolves discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs and surplus property.
• Arrange to return non-conforming materials
• Issue material as per the requirements and maintain records
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure.
• Ability to pass a typing test at 35 words per minute
• Ability to operate a personal computer and related software
• Good communication skills in English Language.
