Job summary

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Muscat is seeking an entry level management professional to assist in leading the banquet staff and to personally assist in executing events to meet requirements and standards.

You will help develop and direct the team to provide consistent, high‑quality service, while maintaining inventories, sanitation, and SOP adherence in a fast-paced luxury setting. This role requires teamwork, guest focus, and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area.

Responsibilities

• Manage departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain attendance log for banquet employees.
• Maintain and enforce established sanitation levels.
• Adheres to and reinforces all standards, policies, and procedures (SOPs, LSOPs, etc.).
• Orders supplies for the department (e.g., china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, props, and other service equipment needs).
• Uses banquet beverage “Use” records to guide banquet beverage supervisor in controlling liquor costs and inventory.
• Understands the impact Banquet operations has on events and maximizes customer satisfaction.
• Assists in scheduling banquet service staff to forecast and service standards, while maximizing profits.
• Leads shifts and actively participates in servicing events.
• Applies and broadens knowledge of food and wine pairings and overall event presentation.
• Sets a positive example for guest relations.
• Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
• Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
• Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
• Strives to improve service performance.
• Supports a departmental orientation program for employees to receive training and performance expectations.
• Observes service behaviors and provides feedback to individuals.
