Job summary

Dunedin North Intermediate is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives, expand the school’s community connections, and drive market share across Dunedin.

The role offers a competitive remuneration package with a minimum of 30 hours per week, plus a salary range of $33.00–$40.00 per hour depending on experience. You will develop policy, coordinate budgeting, and work with a large team to achieve strategic goals.

Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant experience or a relevant bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Ideally, some industry experience in dealing with stakeholders, clients, and promoting our product.

Responsibilities

• Formulating and administering company policy around growth and strategy, and ensuring the business grows its market share throughout Dunedin.
• Establishing and directing operational and administrative procedures.
• Implementing, monitoring and evaluating budgetary and accounting strategies and policies, ensuring that the business operates at budget or to a surplus.
• Providing advice to senior management and the business owners on the direction of the business, strategic plans, and future growth opportunities.
• Should be able to prepare strategic roadmaps for the future development of the business, based upon market trends, to show to stakeholders and owners.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and standards; controlling selection, training and performance of staff, ensuring that training records are maintained, and ensure that policies are in place to train staff with new equipment and chemicals.
• Representing the organisation at conventions, in negotiations with suppliers, and at any public forum or place where a representative of the business is required.
