Job summary

DairyNZ in Dunedin, New Zealand, seeks a Business Development Manager to drive local growth, shape strategy, and lead operational development. The role offers a competitive remuneration package and a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours per week.

You will formulate growth roadmaps, manage budgeting and compliance, advise senior management on strategic opportunities, and represent the organisation at conventions and supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

• formulating and administering company policy around growth and strategy, and ensuring that the business grows its market share throughout Dunedin
• establishing and directing operational and administrative procedures
• implementing, monitoring and evaluating budgetary and accounting strategies and policies, ensuring that the business operates at budget or to a surplus.
• providing advice to senior management and the business owners on the direction of the business, strategic plans, and future growth opportunities.
• Should be able to prepare strategic roadmaps for the future development of the business, based upon market trends, to show to stakeholders and owners.
• ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and standards controlling selection, training and performance of staff , ensuring that trainingrecords are maintained, and ensure that policies are in place to train staff with new equipment and chemicals.
• representing the organisation at conventions, in negotiation with suppliers,and at any public forum
