Job summary

Toyota NZ in Porirua is seeking a Workshop Controller / Service Advisor Team Leader to keep the service department running smoothly, allocate jobs to technicians, and ensure timely completion. You will lead by example, communicate with customers, and partner with service advisors and technicians to deliver exceptional service; previous automotive workshop or control experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive workshop, service advising, or workshop control.
• Leadership skills with ability to motivate a team.
• Strong customer focus and communication.
• Sales-minded with ability to identify additional work.
• Toyota experience is a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Allocate jobs to technicians to keep the workshop flow smooth.
• Monitor progress and ensure on-time completion of customer vehicles.
• Communicate additional repairs or maintenance to customers and obtain approval.
• Keep customers informed through the service process and costs.
• Lead with service advisors and technicians to maintain a productive team.
• Model excellent customer interactions and service standards.
• Think quickly to resolve unexpected issues and prioritise work.
• Help deliver quality repairs and efficient workflow.
