Job summary

Millennium Services Group is seeking a reliable Weekend Supervisor to join our Riccarton, Christchurch team. The role includes leading the cleaning team in the Site Supervisor's absence and overseeing daily tasks to maintain high-cleanliness standards.

We offer part-time shifts across Fridays to Sundays, with duties ranging from general cleaning to safety compliance. Applicants must have NZ working rights and a proven ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cleaning experience in commercial, retail, or similar environments.
• Ability to lead and support the cleaning team in the absence of the Site Supervisor.
• Acts as the 2IC and assists with day-to-day site operations.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties to a high standard.
• Support the Site Supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the cleaning team.
• Act as the Second-in-Charge (2IC) and lead the team during the Site Supervisor's absence.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors.
• Clean amenities, including toilets and washrooms.
• Collect and dispose of rubbish.
• Spot clean furniture and high-touch surfaces.
• Clean internal and external glass as required.
• Dust and wipe down hard surfaces.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for clients and visitors.

We're looking for reliable and motivated Weekend Supervisor to join our team at Riccarton, Christchurch.

We have part-time opportunities available, with shifts across weekdays and weekends.

Friday 21:30 to 03:00

Saturday-Sunday 20:00 to 01:30

Hourly rate: $25.50

Key Responsibilities:

About You:

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Previous cleaning experience (commercial cleaning experience is highly regarded).
• Minimum 2 years of cleaning experience in commercial, retail, or similar environments.
• Ability to lead and support the cleaning team in the absence of the Site Supervisor.
• Acts as the 2IC (Second-in-Charge) and assists with day-to-day site operations.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• A reliable, punctual and positive work ethic.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Experience using floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers or sweepers is an advantage.
