Millennium Services Group in Christchurch is seeking an experienced weekend supervisor to lead our cleaning teams across multiple sites. This hands-on role involves visiting sites, coordinating operations, and ensuring service standards are met.

You’ll manage rostering, mentor staff, respond to issues, and maintain health and safety while delivering outstanding client satisfaction. A company vehicle is provided for weekend shifts.

Responsabilités

• Lead, support and mentor weekend cleaning teams across Christchurch sites.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll be visible across our Christchurch sites, supporting our frontline teams and making sure the weekend operation runs smoothly.

You won’t spend your weekend sitting behind a desk. You’ll be visiting sites, checking quality, supporting your people, responding to operational issues and making decisions to keep services running.

Saturday & Sunday 07:30-16:30 | $30.00 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead, support and mentor our weekend cleaning teams
• Coordinate weekend operations across multiple Christchurch sites
• Conduct site visits, quality inspections and spot checks
• Ensure cleaning standards, KPIs and client expectations are achieved
• Act as the first point of contact for weekend operational matters
• Organise shift coverage and respond to unexpected absences
• Support rostering and workforce planning
• Deliver consumables and equipment to sites when required
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training
• Ensure equipment is maintained and used correctly
• Maintain strong health and safety standards
• Respond to client requests and resolve issues quickly
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery

About You

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, confident and comfortable taking ownership.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Previous commercial cleaning experience
• Experience leading or supervising frontline teams
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• The confidence to make decisions and solve problems independently
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
• The ability to prioritise across multiple sites in a fast-moving environment
• Experience coaching and training team members
• Good knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, machinery and products
• A sound understanding of workplace health and safety
• Experience with rostering, stock management and basic computer systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and employees
• A proactive approach and pride in delivering great service
