Job summary

Millennium Services Group is seeking a reliable Weekend Supervisor to join our team at Riccarton, Christchurch. You will support the Site Supervisor, lead the cleaning team in their absence, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety across shifts.

We offer part-time opportunities with Friday and weekend shifts. Prior experience in commercial cleaning and strong organisational skills are valued, along with good communication and a proactive work ethic.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cleaning experience in commercial, retail, or similar environments.
• Experience leading a cleaning team or acting as 2IC is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties to a high standard.
• Support the Site Supervisor in day-to-day cleaning operations.
• Act as 2IC and lead the team in the Site Supervisor's absence.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors.

We're looking for reliable and motivated Weekend Supervisor to join our team at Riccarton, Christchurch.

We have part-time opportunities available, with shifts across weekdays and weekends.

Friday 21:30 to 03:00

Saturday-Sunday 20:00 to 01:30

Hourly rate: $25.50

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties to a high standard.
• Support the Site Supervisor in the day‑to‑day operation of the cleaning team.
• Act as the Second-in-Charge (2IC) and lead the team during the Site Supervisor's absence.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors.
• Clean amenities, including toilets and washrooms.
• Collect and dispose of rubbish.
• Spot clean furniture and high‑touch surfaces.
• Clean internal and external glass as required.
• Dust and wipe down hard surfaces.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for clients and visitors.

About You

• Previous cleaning experience (commercial cleaning experience is highly regarded).
• Minimum 2 years of cleaning experience in commercial, retail, or similar environments.
• Ability to lead and support the cleaning team in the absence of the Site Supervisor.
• Acts as the 2IC (Second-in-Charge) and assists with day‑to‑day site operations.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• A reliable, punctual and positive work ethic.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Experience using floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers or sweepers is an advantage.
