Job summary

Millennium Services Group is seeking reliable and motivated Cleaners to join our team at Riccarton, Christchurch. You will perform general cleaning duties to a high standard and support the Site Supervisor in daily operations.

Experience in commercial cleaning is preferred, with at least 2 years in similar environments. You’ll act as the 2IC when the Site Supervisor is away, lead a small team, and contribute to a safe, welcoming workplace for clients and visitors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cleaning experience in commercial, retail, or similar environments.
• Ability to lead and support the cleaning team in the absence of the Site Supervisor.
• Acts as the 2IC (Second-in-Charge) and assists with day-to-day site operations.
• Flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Applicants must have valid working rights in New Zealand.

We have part-time opportunities available, with shifts across weekdays and weekends.

Friday 21:30 to 03:00

Saturday-Sunday 20:00 to 01:30

Hourly rate: $25.50

Key Responsibilities:

About You:

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Previous cleaning experience (commercial cleaning experience is highly regarded).
• Minimum 2 years of cleaning experience in commercial, retail, or similar environments.
• Ability to lead and support the cleaning team in the absence of the Site Supervisor.
• Acts as the 2IC (Second-in-Charge) and assists with day-to-day site operations.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• A reliable, punctual and positive work ethic.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Experience using floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers or sweepers is an advantage.
