Job summary

Millennium Services Group is hiring a reliable cleaner in Timaru to help maintain clean, safe environments for clients and visitors.

The role is part-time with weekend shifts and an hourly rate of 24.25 NZD. You will carry out general cleaning duties, floors cleaning, restroom upkeep and waste disposal, ensuring high standards.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in a commercial setting is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, punctual and positive work ethic.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties to a high standard.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors.
• Clean amenities, including toilets and washrooms.
• Collect and dispose of rubbish.
• Spot clean furniture and high-touch surfaces.
• Clean internal and external glass as required.
• Dust and wipe down hard surfaces.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for clients and visitors.
• Collect rubbish from car park areas and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Carrying out general custodial and cleaning duties.

We're looking for reliable and motivated Cleaner to join our team at Timaru.

We have a part-time opportunity available, with shifts across weekends.

Hourly rate: $24.25

Saturday-Sunday 1100-1300

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties to a high standard.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Previous cleaning experience (commercial cleaning experience is highly regarded).
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• A reliable, punctual and positive work ethic.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Experience using floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers or sweepers is an advantage.
