Job summary

Tonkin + Taylor’s Water team in New Zealand is seeking Water + Wastewater Engineers or Hydraulic Modellers to enhance planning, modelling and design capabilities. You will help clients understand current network performance and future needs across water supply and wastewater systems.

You’ll work with experienced engineers, broaden skills across planning, modelling and design, and progressively take on more project responsibility while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Engineering or related field.
• Three+ years in water or wastewater design or hydraulic modelling.
• Experience in consultancy or local government is a plus.
• Experience in network modelling, hydraulic analysis, infrastructure planning or design.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to water supply and wastewater projects from planning to delivery.
• Develop and review hydraulic network models.
• Assess network performance, capacity and resilience.
• Support growth planning and investment decisions for infrastructure.
• Develop network strategies and masterplans.
• Investigate constraints and evaluate improvement options.
• Contribute to conceptual, preliminary and detailed design work.
• Prepare reports and technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients, project teams and specialists.
• Support proposals and business development activities.
• Share knowledge to grow water planning capabilities.
