Job summary

Tonkin + Taylor is seeking Water + Wastewater Engineers or Hydraulic Modellers to join our team across New Zealand. This full-time role supports water supply and wastewater planning, hydraulic modelling, and asset assessments to help clients understand current performance and future needs.

You'll work with senior engineers, contribute to planning and design, and help build client relationships. Flexible working and opportunities across NZ offices are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Engineering or related discipline.
• At least three years' experience in water or wastewater design or hydraulic modelling.
• Experience in engineering consultancy or local government is an advantage.
• Experience in network modelling, hydraulic analysis, infrastructure planning, strategies or design.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to water supply and wastewater projects from planning and assessment through to delivery.
• Develop, update and review hydraulic network models.
• Assess network performance, capacity and resilience.
• Support growth planning, and infrastructure investment decisions.
• Develop network strategies and masterplans.
• Investigate constraints and evaluate improvement options.
• Contribute to concept, preliminary and detailed design work.
• Prepare reports, calculations and other technical deliverables.
• Work closely with clients, project teams and technical specialists.
• Contribute to proposals, project planning and business development activities.
• Share knowledge and help grow T+T's water planning, modelling and design capability.
