Job summary

Tonkin + Taylor in New Zealand is seeking Water + Wastewater Engineers or Hydraulic Modellers to join our team. You’ll work on planning, modelling and design for water supply and wastewater networks across NZ, helping clients understand current performance and future needs.

You’ll develop hydraulic models, assess resilience, support investment decisions and contribute to proposals, reports and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Engineering or related discipline.
• At least three years' experience in water or wastewater design, hydraulic modelling, or a related field.
• Experience in network modelling, hydraulic analysis, infrastructure planning, strategies or design.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to water supply and wastewater projects from planning and assessment through to delivery.
• Develop, update and review hydraulic network models.
• Assess network performance, capacity and resilience.
• Support growth planning and infrastructure investment decisions.
• Develop network strategies and masterplans.
• Investigate constraints and evaluate improvement options.
• Contribute to concept, preliminary and detailed design work.
• Prepare reports, calculations and other technical deliverables.
• Work closely with clients, project teams and technical specialists.
• Contribute to proposals, project planning and business development activities.
• Share knowledge and help grow T+T's water planning, modelling and design capability.
