Job summary

Tonkin + Taylor in New Zealand is seeking Water + Wastewater Engineers or Hydraulic Modellers to join our team. You will contribute to planning, modelling and design for water supply, wastewater, and stormwater projects across NZ offices.

Working with our experienced engineers, you'll develop hydraulic network models, assess performance and resilience, support growth planning and investment decisions, and grow your expertise across planning, modelling and delivery.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Engineering or related discipline.
At least three years' experience in water or wastewater design, hydraulic modelling, or related field.
Experience in consultancy or local government is a plus.
Experience in network modelling, hydraulic analysis, planning, strategies or design.

Responsibilities

Contribute to water supply and wastewater projects from planning through delivery.
Develop, update and review hydraulic network models.
Assess network performance, capacity and resilience.
Support growth planning and infrastructure investment decisions.
Develop network strategies and masterplans.
Investigate constraints and evaluate improvement options.
Contribute to concept, preliminary and detailed design work.
Prepare reports, calculations and technical deliverables.
Work closely with clients, project teams and specialists.
Contribute to proposals, project planning and business development.
