Job summary

Tonkin + Taylor in New Zealand is seeking Water + Wastewater Engineers or Hydraulic Modellers to join our team. You’ll contribute to planning, modelling and design across water supply, wastewater and stormwater networks, helping clients understand performance today and what they’ll need for the future.

You’ll work with experienced engineers, develop models, assess resilience, and support investment decisions. This is a full-time role with opportunities across NZ offices.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in water/wastewater engineering or hydraulic modelling.
• Experience interpreting engineering data and GIS datasets.
• Ability to work across planning, modelling and design with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to water supply and wastewater projects from planning and assessment through delivery.
• Develop, update and review hydraulic network models.
• Assess network performance, capacity and resilience.
• Support growth planning, and infrastructure investment decisions.
• Develop network strategies and masterplans.
• Investigate constraints and evaluate improvement options.
• Contribute to concept, preliminary and detailed design work.
• Prepare reports, calculations and other technical deliverables.
• Work closely with clients, project teams and technical specialists.
• Contribute to proposals, project planning and business development activities.
• Share knowledge and help grow T+T's water planning, modelling and design capability.
