Job summary

HealthCare NZ in Whanganui is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help clients live independently at home and in the community. You will follow care plans, provide practical and emotional support, assist with meals, outings, personal cares and home management to enable clients to reach their goals.

• Fri: 7 AM – 10 AM
• Sat: 7 AM – 10 AM
• Sun: 7 AM – 10 AM

• Mon: 7 AM – 10 AM

• Thu: 7 AM – 10 AM
• Fri: 7 AM – 10 AM
• Sat: OFF

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

• Meal preparation
• Community outings and integration
• Giving medication
• Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
• Home management
