Job summary

HealthCare NZ is a leading provider of in-home and community health, rehabilitation, nursing, mental health and disability support. We invite empathetic Support Workers to join our team across Community & Rehabilitation, Disability and Social Services, with full- and part-time permanent roles and flexible rostering.

You will assist clients to live independently at home and in the community, following care plans and delivering practical and emotional support as part of a close-knit team.

Qualifications

• This role requires a desire to help and support others and a positive attitude.
• Experience in a healthcare or care-giving setting is desirable but not essential.
• Healthcare qualifications are advantageous; a full NZ driver's licence and reliable transport are often required.

We are currently looking for empathetic and passionate Support Workers across our different services including Community & Rehabilitation, Disability and Social Services. Whether you are looking for flexibility around other commitments or would prefer regular rostered shifts, we have a variety of permanent full-time and part-time options on offer.

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

• Meal preparation
• Community outings and integration
• Giving medication
• Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
• Home management

You will earn between $ 23.97 - 29.68 per hour, depending on experience and qualification.
