Job summary

Pathways Health Ltd in Hamilton is seeking a caring Support Worker to assist people with budgeting and daily living skills, helping them participate in their communities.

This permanent, full-time role runs Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00am–3:30pm, based in Kirikiriroa Hamilton. The role offers enhanced leave, wellbeing days and a health/wellbeing card as part of our supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current full New Zealand Driver Licence.
• First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain one).
• Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or recognised equivalent).
• Flexible and available for varying shifts.
• Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Responsibilities

• Support people with budgeting and independent daily living skills.
• Attend appointments and advocate for people.
• Assist people to connect with their communities.
• Be prepared to do whatever it takes for the people we support—cleaning, cooking, gardening or personal care.
• Maintain a current NZ Driver Licence.
• Be willing to obtain a First Aid Certificate if not held.
• Demonstrate flexibility with shifts.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in Kirikiriroa Hamilton. You will be working Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.

In this role you will:

• Be busy supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills
• Attending appointments and advocating for people
• Might be assisting people to connect with their communities
• Be prepared to do whatever it takes for the people we support - cleaning, cooking, gardening, personal care or helping with everyday tasks
• You must hold a current full New Zealand Driver Licence
• You must hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one
• Hold either the Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent)
• Able to be flexible and available for varying shifts
• Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
