Job summary

Comfortech Building Performance Solutions is seeking a Specification Manager based in Christchurch to join our national Specification and Technical team. You will identify opportunities, pursue specification of interior products and systems, and work with architects, designers and contractors to deliver tailored solutions.

This permanent, salaried role includes a company vehicle and the autonomy to structure your role to meet targets, supported by a strong NZ-based business in solid market

Qualifications

• Experience in the interior fit-out, design and architectural segment.
• Ability to identify and develop new relationships in the industry.
• Comfortable presenting to Architects and Designers and engaging with main contractors and developers.

Responsibilities

• Identifying project opportunities and pursuing specification of Comfortech’s Commercial Interior Products and Systems of ceiling, wall, and insulation solutions
• Building strong relationships with architects and designers across the South Island
• Working with the National BDM to engage with main contractors, developers and other industry professionals to ensure smooth delivery of specified solutions
• Working with the Technical team and key supply partners to provide technical assistance and solutions to the industry, adding to the customer experience
• Presenting to Architects and Designers on products and systems, providing information and technical support
• Collaborating with the sales team to turn leads into sales

The Role

We are looking for a Specification Manager to be based out of our Christchurch branch and join a team of high performers who work across the regions. Reporting to the Branch Manager and as part of a national Specification and Technical team, you will have the support necessary to succeed, however be provided the autonomy to structure your own role to meet deliverables. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Identifying project opportunities and pursuing specification of Comfortech’ Commercial Interior Products and Systems of ceiling, wall, and insulation solutions

About You

The role focuses primarily in the interior fit-out, design and architectural segment, hence we’re looking for someone with experience in this industry, a design/construction qualification or a desire to transition into the sector. To be successful you’ll also need:

• To be a keen networker, comfortable with identifying and developing new relationships in the industry
• Knowledge of sales planning, budgeting, and operational finance
• Ability to understand customers business and offer relevant, tailored solutions
• Ability to communicate at all levels, with a confident and mature approach providing accurate and informative information on our product range
• Confident and clear group presentation skills
• To be a tenacious self-starter and a team player
