Job summary

Department of Conservation in Napier is seeking a Site Support Officer on a 0.5 FTE basis to provide essential admin support across our Hawke's Bay facilities. This role focuses on practical office management, coordinating day-to-day operations, and acting as the main contact for site-related issues.

You will work with the Site Lead, help ensure safe and efficient operations, support vehicle maintenance, and contribute to health and safety tasks such as drills and inductions.

Qualifications

• Experience in broad administration support, facilities or fleet management.
• Experience in general office management including record-keeping and scheduling.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Tech-savvy; adaptable to new systems and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person for general office management.
• Support the Site Lead to ensure smooth, safe operation of DOC premises.
• Ensure DOC pool vehicles are fit for purpose and maintained.
• Support health and safety tasks including drills, inductions, checks and audits.
