Job summary

Carpet Court NZ in Taupo is seeking a Sales Consultant (Flooring). You’ll visit customers in their homes to measure, quote, and close sales, while supporting in-store enquiries. This role blends showroom presence with fieldwork and rewards a consultative approach and relationship-building.

Expect an engaging, target-driven environment with uncapped commission and a good base salary. You’ll manage leads, build your own sales pipeline, and ensure accurate CRM documentation, while collaborating

Qualifications

• Proven experience in consultative sales (home improvement, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms or similar)
• Confidence working with customers in-home and building trust quickly
• Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
• Ability to measure accurately and translate needs into solutions
• Excellent communication and follow-up discipline
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• A full, clean NZ driver’s licence
• Confidence using systems/CRM

About the Role

This is not your typical retail role.

As a Sales Consultant (Flooring) with Carpet Court, you’ll work closely with customers to understand their space, needs, and lifestyle, then guide them to the right flooring solutions.

You’ll be out in customers’ homes, measuring, quoting, and closing sales, as well as supporting in-store enquiries. It’s a hands-on, relationship-driven role where your ability to connect, advise, and follow through is what sets you apart.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys a consultative sales approach, thrives on achieving results, and can confidently manage the end-to-end customer journey.

This is a Monday - Friday, and every second Saturday position based in our Taupo Branch.
