Job summary

Carpet Court NZ in Pukekohe is seeking a Sales Assistant to support our Sales Consultants and welcome customers from the moment they walk in. This role combines customer service, sales support and administration in a busy retail environment.

The 6-month fixed-term, part-time position runs Monday to Friday 9:00am–2:30pm (with some flexibility). Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, along with strong communication, organisation and a proactive attitude.

About the Role

This is more than a traditional retail assistant position.

As a Sales Assistant with Carpet Court Pukekohe, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Sales Consultants while ensuring every customer receives outstanding service from the moment they walk through the door.

You’ll be the first point of contact for many customers, helping them feel welcome, understanding what they need, and supporting them throughout their purchasing journey. You’ll also assist with administration, quotations, product ordering, showroom presentation and day-to-day store operations.

This is a varied role that combines customer service, sales support and administration in a busy, people-focused environment.

This is a 6-month fixed-term, part-time position working Monday to Friday.

Ideally, the hours will be 9:00am–2:30pm, however we can offer some flexibility around start and finish times for the right person. There may also be the occasional opportunity for weekend work where required.
