Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior/Principal Engineer in the Paeroa area to focus on roading asset management and network performance. You will work embedded with a key client five days a week in the Thames-Coromandel region, delivering strategic advice and practical project support.

You will bring a Civil Engineering degree, 8–10 years’ experience, and Chartered status or progress towards it, with a strong ability to manage projects, engage clients and develop opportunities across local government and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of professional civil engineering experience incl. asset management.
• Experience in project management, client engagement and business development.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status, or progress towards accreditation.
• Local government and NZTA experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of asset management, asset information management and data analytics.
• Commercial awareness with ability to manage scope, schedule, risk and financials.
• Clear communication, sound judgement and a collaborative, client-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic asset management and network performance consultancy across transportation projects.
• Deliver asset information management advice, data analytics and management deliverables.
• Apply asset management standards, legislation, codes and NZ/ISO standards.
• Undertake reviews and verifications; develop practical, innovative client solutions.
• Lead delivery of asset management projects within scope, programme, budget, quality and risk.
• Provide project leadership across multidisciplinary teams; coordinate resources and performance.
• Build relationships with clients and grow asset management and data services.
• Collaborate with specialists to deliver client-focused outcomes.
