Job summary

WSP in New Zealand seeks a Senior or Principal Engineer to lead asset and network performance for transportation/roading. The role is embedded with a key client five days a week in the Thames-Coromandel region, offering strategic advice and hands-on project delivery.

You will apply asset management standards, lead multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to client outcomes while developing your Chartered Engineer credentials and regional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–10+ years in a civil engineering role with asset management exposure.
• Experience in project management, client engagement and business development.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status or progress towards accreditation.
• Knowledge of asset management standards, data analytics and NZ practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic asset management and network performance advisory services for transportation projects.
• Deliver asset information management guidance, analytics and deliverables.
• Apply asset management standards, NZ Standards and ISO where relevant.
• Lead technical reviews, develop practical solutions for client challenges.
• Lead asset management projects with scope, programme, budget, risk and quality control.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure efficient project delivery.
• Build client relationships and support growth of asset management services regionally.
• Collaborate with internal specialists to deliver client-focused outcomes.
