Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior or Principal Engineer to lead asset and network performance work for transportation/roading in the Thames-Coromandel region, embedded with a key client. You will provide strategic advice, technical guidance and deliver high-quality asset management outcomes.

You will apply NZ standards, lead projects, collaborate across WSP, and help grow asset management, data services, and network modelling capabilities in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years in civil engineering with asset management and network performance.
• Experience in project management, client engagement and business development.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status or progress towards accreditation.
• Local government and NZTA experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of asset management, data analytics and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide asset management and network performance advisory services across transportation projects.
• Deliver asset information management guidance, data analytics and related deliverables.
• Apply NZ Standards, legislation and emerging ISO standards.
• Lead project delivery, managing scope, programme, budget, quality and risk.
• Provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Build client relationships and grow asset management and data services regionally.
