Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Security Technician to join a busy Hamilton team, installing, servicing and troubleshooting a wide range of security systems across the Waikato region.

You'll work on access control, CCTV, gates, alarms and intercoms across a mix of residential and commercial sites. Immediate start with weekly pay at $28–$32 per hour.

Are you an experienced Security Technician looking for your next opportunity? We’re looking for a capable technician to join a busy team working across Hamilton and surrounding areas, installing, servicing and troubleshooting a wide range of security systems.

Location: Hamilton and surrounding areas

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $28–$32 per hour, with weekly pay

About the Role

You’ll be working across a variety of security and access solutions, including:

• Access control systems and Bio-Metric readers
• Security cameras and numberplate recognition
• Automatic gates and barrier arms
• Intruder detection alarms and off-site monitoring
• Intercom systems
• Electric fences
• Visitor management systems

What You’ll Be Doing

• Installing and servicing security equipment and systems
• Testing, fault-finding and troubleshooting equipment
• Carrying out repairs and general maintenance
• Working across a range of residential and commercial sites
• Ensuring installations are completed safely and professionally

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant security systems installation or servicing experience
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Confidence working with a range of security technology
• Strong communication and a professional approach
• NZ experience is preferred but not essential
