Job summary

Carbon Security Limited, a Christchurch-based security integrator, seeks a senior Electronic Security Technician to lead commercial installations and service delivery. You will install and commission enterprise platforms (Inner Range Integriti, Gallagher CC, Siemens SiPass) and manage IP surveillance with Milestone, Geutebruck, Axis, NX Witness, including AI analytics.

Applicants need 5+ years in commercial security, relevant CCTV/access-control certifications, NZ PSPLA COA, and a clean NZ

• 5+ years industry experience in commercial security.
• Certification in enterprise CCTV and access control systems.
• NZ PSPLA COA license and a clean NZ Driver's Licence.
• Diagnostics: understand signal paths, network latency, and logic-based troubleshooting.
• On-site professionalism representing the brand on site or in boardrooms.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise Security: Installation and commissioning of high-end platforms like Inner Range Integriti, Gallagher Command Centre and Siemens SiPass.
• IP Surveillance: Deploy Milestone, Geutebruck, Axis and NX Witness with AI analytics.

We are looking for a senior-level Electronic Security Technician to perform commercial installations and service delivery across Christchurch and beyond. From multi-story office buildings to high-security commercial sites, you will be responsible for ensuring our clients' people and most valuable assets are protected by world-class technology.

The Work You'll Own

• Enterprise Security: Installation and commissioning of high-end platforms like Inner Range Integriti, Gallagher Command Centre and Siemens SiPass.


• IP Surveillance: Deploying advanced Video Management Systems (VMS) such as Milestone, Geutebruck, Axis and NX Witness, including AI analytics.


• Compliance: Ensuring all work meets AS/NZS standards in Electronic Security.


• Networking: Working alongside client IT departments to manage VLANs, PoE budget calculations, and secure remote access.


• Commissioning: Taking a project from a pile of boxes to a fully programmed, client-ready security ecosystem.


• Leading by Example: As one of our most experienced team members, you'll set the standard on site — not just in the quality of the install, but in how we scope, document and communicate our work. • Licensing: Must hold a current NZ PSPLA COA and a clean NZ Driver's Licence.
