Job summary

ASNZL is seeking a Security Technician to cover the West Coast region from Greymouth north to Karamea, working independently with support from the Canterbury team. You will install, commission, maintain and fault-find CCTV, access control, intruder detection and automation systems, while building strong client relationships and providing technical advice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in the electronic security industry.
• Proven experience with CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Detection systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage workloads effectively.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence.

Join ASNZL's growing Security Division and help protect businesses, critical infrastructure, and communities across the West Coast.

We're looking for an experienced, self-motivated Security Technician to work independently across the West Coast, supported by our experienced Canterbury team. Based ideally in Greymouth (relocation support may be considered), you'll deliver high-quality installations, maintenance, and customer service while working with industry-leading security technologies.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault-finding of:

• Access Control Systems
• CCTV Surveillance Systems
• Intruder Detection Systems
• Security Automation Solutions

You’ll also:

• Build strong client relationships and provide technical advice
• Manage site visits, service work, and job documentation
• Assist with system scoping, quotations, and project planning
• Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and health & safety

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Minimum 5 years' experience in the electronic security industry
• Proven experience with CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Detection systems
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities

Travel
