Job summary

Oaks Auckland Hotel, part of Minor Hotels, is expanding its housekeeping team with multiple part-time opportunities. We’re seeking dedicated, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience and thrive in a team environment.

You will clean guest rooms to high standards, follow safety procedures, and work a rotating shift from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred, and flexible weekend availability is appreciated.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles.
• Strong attention to detail and maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks.
• Clear communication with guests and team members.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.

About the job:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject to change):

Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday

Shifts starting between 8:00 am and 9.00am

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays\
