Job summary

Avani Queenstown Shores Resort is expanding our housekeeping team with multiple full-time opportunities. We’re seeking dedicated individuals who take pride in their work and deliver an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

You will clean guest rooms to high standards, follow safety protocols, and work a rotating roster from Monday through Sunday. The role offers 30 hours per week at NZD 27 per hour, with prior housekeeping experience valued and strong

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods.
• Professional communication with guests and team members.
• Flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms to a high standard including beds, bathrooms, and floors.

Job Description

Avani Queenstown Shores Resort is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple full-time opportunities now available.

We’re seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to providing an exceptional guest experience. If you’re energetic, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a team-oriented environment, we’d love to have you on board!

About the job:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details:

• Minimum of 30 hours per week
• $27 NZD per hour
• Shifts commencing at 9.00am
• Rotating roster across Monday through to Sunday

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
