Job summary

Auckland Harbour Suites is expanding our housekeeping department with a part-time opportunity now available. We’re looking for dedicated, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in a pristine guest experience, thrive in a team, and bring energy to the role.

You will maintain high cleanliness standards, clean guest rooms, and collaborate with colleagues to meet daily targets. Shifts start between 8:00am and 9:00am, on a rotating Monday–Sunday roster, with training provided to ensure safe,

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Able to follow safety protocols and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods.
• Clear communication with guests, team members and contractors.
• Flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms, make beds, vacuum floors and clean bathrooms.
• Complete tasks efficiently within allocated hours.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily cleaning targets.

About the job

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
