Job summary

Auckland Harbour Suites is expanding the housekeeping team and offering a part-time role. We’re seeking dedicated individuals who take pride in delivering a spotless, guest-ready environment. Training and equipment are provided to support safety and quality standards.

Shifts cover rotating rosters, with start times between 8:00 am and 9:00 am. You will work with a supportive team to meet daily targets while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles.
• High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Professional communication with guests and team members.
• Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds and vacuuming.
• Clean bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within allocated hours.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily cleaning targets and goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Use cleaning equipment safely with training provided.

Auckland Harbour Suites is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with a part-time opportunity now available.

We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to providing an exceptional guest experience. If you’re energetic, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a team-oriented environment, we’d love to have you on board!

About the job:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00 am and 9.00am

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
