Avani Queenstown Shores Resort is seeking dedicated Common Area Cleaners to join our housekeeping team in Queenstown. The role focuses on cleaning and maintaining all shared guest areas to the highest standards, with collaborative targets and safety compliance across rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a resort or hotel environment is highly regarded.

• Good physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication with guests, team members, and contractors.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Job Description

Avani Queenstown Shores Resort is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple Full Time opportunities now available for Common Area Cleaners.

The Housekeeping department is integral to ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining productivity, and upholding the high standards of cleanliness and presentation set by Minor Hotels. The Common Area Cleaner involves servicing, cleaning, and maintaining shared guest areas throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Cleaning and maintaining all common guest areas to the highest standards, ensuring all areas are always hygienic and visually appealing.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members and guests to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.
  

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00 am and 9.00am

Please note, this is a physically demanding role requiring regular heavy lifting, manual handling of bins and equipment, and movement of bulky items.
