Minor Hotels’ Auckland Harbour Suites is expanding its housekeeping team with multiple part-time roles. You will clean guest rooms, make beds, and maintain high cleanliness standards while following safety procedures.

Training is provided and you’ll work as part of a supportive team dedicated to delivering a exceptional guest experience. Ideal candidates are reliable, detail‑oriented, physically fit, and available to work weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms to high standards, including beds, floors and bathrooms.
• Vacuum and disinfect surfaces according to procedures.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily cleaning targets.
• Adhere to safety protocols and training.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely with provided training.
• Maintain positive relationships with guests, colleagues and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject to change):

Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
