Job summary

Oaks Wellington Hotel is seeking a friendly, flexible Guest Experience Attendant to support Front Office and Food & Beverage operations on a part-time basis. You will ensure guests feel welcome, well cared for, and delighted from check-in to check-out, while assisting across café, bar, and in-room dining services.

The role suits someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a guest-facing environment, and can work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience across Front Office and Food & Beverage would be highly beneficial
• Positive, adaptable attitude and excellent communication skills
• Confidence in handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and evenings

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests on arrival and handle check-ins/check-outs with efficiency and warmth
• Assist with food and beverage service in our café, bar, or during in-room dining
• Provide local recommendations, handle guest requests, and respond to feedback promptly
• Deliver orders, clear tables, and maintain cleanliness of the F&B area
• Set up and pack down breakfast or function areas as required
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest needs are met
• Process payments accurately and maintain up-to-date guest records

Job Description

Oaks Wellington Hotel are looking for a friendly, flexible, and guest-focused Guest Experience Attendant to join our team, someone who can confidently assist across both Front Office and Food & Beverage operations on a part-time basis.

This is a hands-on, dynamic role perfect for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a guest-facing environment. You'll be a key part role in the overall hotel experience, ensuring our guests feel welcome, well cared for, and delighted from check-in to check-out, while also assisting within food and beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests on arrival and handle check-ins/check-outs with efficiency and warmth
• Assist with food and beverage service in our café, bar, or during in-room dining
• Provide local recommendations, handle guest requests, and respond to feedback promptly
• Deliver orders, clear tables, and maintain cleanliness of the F&B area
• Set up and pack down breakfast or function areas as required
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest needs are met
• Process payments accurately and maintain up-to-date guest records

Shift Details (subject to change)

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Minimum 24 hours per week
• $25 NZD per hour

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Previous hospitality experience across Front Office and Food & Beverage would be highly beneficial
• A positive, adaptable attitude and excellent communication skills
• Confidence in handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for creating memorable guest experiences
• Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and evenings
