Minor Hotels’ Oaks Auckland Hotel is seeking a detail‑oriented housekeeper for part‑time shifts in Auckland. The role focuses on pristine guest rooms, precise bed making, bathroom cleaning, and adherence to safety standards.

You’ll contribute to a welcoming guest experience and support a collaborative team in a fast‑paced hotel environment. Shifts run across Monday to Sunday, with starts between 8:00 am and 9:00 am.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to follow safety and chemical handling guidelines.
• Strong communication with guests and team.
• Flexible to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Use specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively – with all training and tools provided.
• Build strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
