Job summary

The Boundary is seeking an IT Systems Administrator for its New Zealand operations. You will own local infrastructure, support and hardware reliability, reporting to the NZ CTO and collaborating with the global IT team.

This high-impact, autonomous role involves managing the local IT budget and keeping the tech stack up to date to ensure secure and efficient operations. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with Windows workstations and servers, Google Workspace, and basic security

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Windows workstations, servers, and storage.
• Experience in managing Active Directory and cloud identity (Entra ID)
• Strong networking fundamentals and endpoint security practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain local server, network (LAN/Wi‑Fi/VPN/firewalls), and virtualization environments ensuring backups and DR readiness.
• Provide end-to-end IT support for NZ staff from the local helpdesk.
• Manage identity, access and security across Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace with least-privilege controls.
• Troubleshoot render nodes and production IT infrastructure for creative workflows.
• Budget, procurement and asset management for NZ IT including licenses and vendors.
• Create clear technical documentation and onboarding guides; drive local improvements aligned with global IT standards.
