Job summary

Gallagher Animal Management is seeking a Sales & Engagement Specialist to grow adoption of eShepherd across New Zealand. You will generate leads, qualify opportunities and build a robust pipeline while working largely from home and occasionally visiting customers in rural areas.

Join a scalable agtech business within Gallagher, collaborating with Business Development Managers, Customer Success and the wider eShepherd team to demonstrate value and guide customers through the sales journey.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, business development, account management or customer engagement.
• Experience in agriculture, AgTech, livestock, dairy, grazing systems or another rural industry.
• Strong understanding or interest in livestock farming, grazing systems and pasture management across beef and dairy operations.
• Proven ability to build pipeline and convert opportunities into sales.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
• CRM experience and strong commercial acumen.
• Self-motivation, resilience and a results-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Generate, qualify and convert leads into sales opportunities.
• Source new opportunities through industry networks, referrals, events and prospecting activities.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from first contact through to proposal, negotiation and close.
• Utilise CRM and reporting tools to manage customer activity, forecasting and pipeline visibility.
• Support regional sales strategies and contribute to the growth of eShepherd adoption across New Zealand.
• Build trusted relationships with farmers, producers and rural stakeholders.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, tailoring solutions to individual farming operations.
• Lead customer conversations, address objections and negotiate positive outcomes.
• Partner with Customer Success to support onboarding, adoption and long-term customer value.
• Monitor sales performance and provide insights on lead generation, conversion, pipeline growth and revenue performance.
