Job summary

Radius Care in Katikati is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to deliver person-centred care at our Radius Lexham Park location. You will complete patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medicines, and support residents with daily activities, while monitoring changes and providing compassionate communication with families.

This role offers 15.5 hours per week on a rotating roster, with weekend and public holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Computer literacy with concise reporting skills.
• People skills + empathy for residents and their families.
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts.
• 1+ years of experience working as a registered nurse in NZ preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient assessments and care plans.
• Provide exceptional care and monitor residents’ conditions and behaviours.
• Administer medicines and assist residents with daily activities.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documents.
• Educate peers about possible side-effects of medicines.
• Monitor residents and initiate appropriate treatment in an emergency.

Location: Radius Lexham Park, 3 Binnie Rd, Katikati

Hours of work:Part time, approx 15.5 hours per week, over a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Note: Radius Care cannot support work visas/visa changes for Part-Time RN roles. Visa-holders must have a current visa with open work rights and preferably at least 6 months left until expiry.

About the role:

Gain valuable experience in person-centred care, and enhance your critical thinking skills. Complete patient assessments and care plans. Provide exceptional care, while evaluating outcomes for residents and their families. Monitor changes to residents’ conditions and behaviours. Administer medicines, and assist residents with daily activities.

Duties include:

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documents
• Educate and direct peers about possible side-effects of medicines
• Monitor residents and initiate appropriate treatment in an emergency
• Wound management
• Reassuring and educating residents’ families
