Job summary

Radius Care in Ashburton is seeking a casual Registered Nurse to provide person-centred care, complete assessments and care plans, and monitor residents’ conditions. Nurses will administer medicines and assist with daily activities, working across a 24/7 rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.

The role requires a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate, empathy, and ability to adapt to rosters.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
• Computer literacy with concise reporting skills.
• Empathy for residents and their families.
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts.
• 1+ years RN experience in NZ preferred.
• InterRAI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documents.
• Educate peers about possible side-effects of medicines.
• Monitor residents and initiate appropriate treatment in an emergency.
• Wound management.
• Reassure and educate residents’ families.

Location:

Hours of work:

Casual, as and when required. Should be able to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Note: Radius Care cannot support work visas/visa changes for casual RN roles. Visa-holders must have a current visa with open work rights and preferably at least 6 months left until expiry.

About the role:

Gain valuable experience in person-centred care, and enhance your critical thinking skills. Complete patient assessments and care plans. Provide exceptional care, while evaluating outcomes for residents and their families. Monitor changes to residents’ conditions and behaviours. Administer medicines, and assist residents with daily activities.

Duties include:
