Job summary

Radius Care is seeking a registered nurse to join our care team in Paihia. This full-time position (32 hours per week) operates on a rotating 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays.

You will conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medicines, and support residents and families with compassionate, person-centred care. Ideal candidates hold a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate, possess strong communication and reporting skills, and have flexibility to rostered

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate (RN) is required.
• Computer literacy with concise reporting skills.
• Empathy for residents and families in care.
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts.
• 1+ years of NZ RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documents.
• Educate peers about possible side-effects of medicines.
• Monitor residents and initiate appropriate treatment in emergencies.
• Wound management.
• Reassure and educate residents’ families.

Hours of work:

Full time, 32 hours per week, over a rotating 24/7 roster (including weekends and public holidays)

About the role:

Gain valuable experience in person-centred care, and enhance your critical thinking skills. Complete patient assessments and care plans. Provide exceptional care, while evaluating outcomes for residents and their families. Monitor changes to residents’ conditions and behaviours. Administer medicines, and assist residents with daily activities.

Duties include:

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documents
• Educate and direct peers about possible side-effects of medicines
• Monitor residents and initiate appropriate treatment in an emergency
• Wound management
• Reassuring and educating residents’ families
