Job summary

Radius Care provides exceptional care in Karori, Wellington. We are seeking a dedicated caregiver to support residents under a Registered Nurse, building strong relationships with residents and families and implementing individual care plans.

Full training is provided. Duties include personal cares, encouraging independence, timely task completion, and maintaining health records, with shift handovers handled smoothly.

Qualifications

• New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 (or Level 4) and 3 years of relevant experience; OR Level 4 with relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills with residents and families.
• Good written and verbal communication and flexibility to rostered shifts.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking personal cares and promoting resident independence.
• Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner.
• Responding to resident requests with relevant information.
• Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records.
• Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes.

Location:

RadiusKarori, 29 Messines Rd, Karori, Wellington

Hours of work:

Minimum 30 hours per week, over a rotating 24/7 roster (including weekends and public holidays.

Pay rate:

$29.34 - $31.69 per hour (subject to completed caregiving qualifications)

About the role:

Provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans. Full training provided.

Duties include:

• Undertaking personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independence
• Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner
• Responding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant information
• Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records
• Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes
