Job summary

Radius Care is a New Zealand owned health and aged care provider. This full-time Healthcare Assistant role in Tauranga involves delivering high-quality resident care under a Registered Nurse guidance, fostering meaningful relationships, and supporting care plans. Training will be provided.

You’ll work as part of a team in a setting that values safety, dignity and resident independence, with a rostered schedule including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

Location: RadiusAlthorp, 9 Grantston Drive, Pyes Pa, Tauranga

Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours per week, over a rotating 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Pay rate: $28.58- $30.87 per hour (subject to completed caregiving qualifications).

About the role

Provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans. Full training provided.

Duties include

• Undertaking personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independence
• Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner
• Responding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant information
• Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records
• Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes

Skills and Experience

• New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 (or equivalent) and 3 years of relevant experience; OR New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent).

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts
• Must be trained in providing dementia care
